I'm Tansy Moore, a watercolour and gouache artist living in North Norfolk, England.

I'm fascinated by the naturally bright colours in nature, especially drawn to the symmetry, smooth textures and wings of insects. The seasons here in the UK inspire what I feel like painting throughout the year, though I paint wildlife from all around the world.

I spent my youngest years in Southern Ireland, where we were grown to admire the nature around us, my upbringing has led me to have the admiration I have for the wildlife I paint today.

I began painting at the end of 2018, believing most of my life that I couldn't draw. I started drawing very basic geometric birds and mammals using watersoluble pencils and with these I opened my Etsy shop in November 2018. I was gifted my first watercolours that Christmas and my paintings soon became more life like.

A year later, I created my first scientifically realistic illustrations - a Garden Snail and Common Frog.

Luckily, the pandemic allowed me to focus fully on creating and in the past few years, as well as learning to paint, I have taught myself how to make notebooks and stickers, how to print my work onto tote bags and how to sew with my own fabric designs.

Despite everything I have learnt, I wouldn't be where I am today without the support of my friends and followers on instagram and anyone who has ever ordered from my Etsy shop - I am so greatful!
